Transforming How We Engage with Young People in Scotland

31st March 2017
Time: 10.00-15.00
Location: Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, G2 3NY

This event is a strand of the Scottish Government's Our Voice initiative to ensure that the voices of citizens are heard, listened to, taken seriously and acted upon by key decision makers in health and social care services.

The event will celebrate the success and share the learning from an innovative partnership project between the Glasgow based charity Includem and the Scottish Health Council.

The central focus of the project has been on exploring and testing creative ways of engaging with young people, with the aim of ensuring their voices influence how health and social care services are designed and delivered; and further leading to improved quality of life outcomes for all of our children and young people across Scotland.

The key findings and learning from a variety of different pilot test sites will be presented. The Scottish Health Council will also share the recommendations from young people, practitioners and key decision makers about the most effective way to engage with children and young people and to act collaboratively in implementing improvements to health and social care services.
