Parenting Across Scotland 2018 conference: Supporting Families

Parenting Across Scotland are hosting their 2018 conference which will focus on how families can be better supported, using the UNCRC as a framework.

Using the UNCRC as a basis, the event will explore:

  • The role of adequate finance, housing and healthcare
  • How these agendas can be better joined up to ensure all families have the best start in life.

Confirmed speakers for the event include:

  • Minister for Childcare and Early Years Maree Todd MSP
  • Bruce Adamson, Children and Young People's Commissioner for Scotland
  • Dr Morag Treanor, University of Stirling
  • Professor Kate Morris, University of Sheffield
  • Dr Ann Mullin, GPs at the Deep End
  • Alison Watson, Deputy Director at Shelter Scotland

The conference will discuss effective approaches and policies to supporting families across a range of sectors.
