YouthLink Policy Seminars

YouthLink is holding its first Policy Seminar Series which aims to bring together leading experts and commentators to discuss policy issues within a youth work context. The seminars will be framed within the context of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

The first seminar will be held on Thursday 30th August and will focus attention toward Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the development of resilience within the context of youth work relationships and practice. Key note speakers include Together's Director Juliet Harris and Mary Glasgow, Acting Chief Executive of Children 1st.

The second seminar will be held on Thursday 27th September and will focus on digital youth work and cyber resilience. Keynote speakers will include David McNeill, Director of Digital at SCVO, and Suvi Tuominen, Project Manager, Verke / National Development Centre for Digital Youth Work, City of Helsinki and member of the EC Expert Group on Digitalisation and Youth.
