Judi Martin (2022)

Judi recently moved to Edinburgh to undertake her LLM in Human Rights at the University of Edinburgh. She is currently working with Together as part of her master’s research report. This work focuses on different state approaches to incorporation of the International Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination as Scotland moves toward a new Human Rights Bill and the incorporation of various international treaties.

Before her masters Judi completed her undergraduate degree in History at Trinity College Dublin and was particularly interested in the history of the welfare state and the development of human rights. Whilst studying Judi started to engage in human rights advocacy and fundraising within university societies and charities and became passionate in children’s rights.

She is looking forward to gaining more research experience and contributing to the development of children’s rights in Scotland with Together!
