“Welcome to the Highlands of Scotland” storybook for early years/early primary

A new storybook, titled ‘Welcome to the Highlands of Scotland’, has been co-created by children and young people from Drakies Primary School in Inverness. The children played an active role in creating the book, writing the story, designing the pages and producing the illustrations. The resource aims to help young children develop a sense of connection and belonging as they prepare to move into nursery or early primary school.

CYCJ, in collaboration with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, have launched a new eLearning module on tackling harmful sexual behaviour, which focuses on working with children and young people who have displayed harmful sexual behaviour. This resource will point you to ways of working, ideas and resources that you can integrate into your practice to ensure that the approach that you and your agency take for this issue are in line with principles, up to date and in line with current good practice. Places cost £30 per learner and can be combined with any of the modules on the platform.
