Every four years the UK's overall human rights progress is assessed under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The UPR is a process where the member countries of the UN Human Rights Council review the human rights progress of UN member states. This is a fantastic opportunity to empower children to participate in the reviewing mechanism and this child-friendly guide aims to empower children to do just that!
Child Rights Connect has developed the following resources:
- Fact Sheet 1: The Universal Periodic Review: English, Español, Français
- Fact Sheet 2: NGO Written Submission for the UPR: English, Español, Français
- Fact Sheet 3: NGO Advocacy in the UPR: English, Español, Français
- Fact Sheet 4: Follow-Up to the UPR: English, Español, Français
- The UPR & Me: My Guide to Participating in the UPR (2020) - A Guide for children on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and how they can meaningfully engage and participate in this process: English, Español, Français
