A Unicef UK Rights Respecting School is a community where children's rights are learned, taught, practised, respected, protected and promoted. Children and young people and the school community learn about children's rights by putting them into practice every day. Unicef have recently launched a new Rights Respecting Schools website, as well as a new Scotland-specific resource called the Child Rights Launchpad.
The Rights Respecting School site is open to anyone and has information about the Awards, in addition to resource links such as The World's Largest Lesson (the new global goals for sustainable development) amongst other resources.
In addition, the Scottish Child Rights Launchpad is free for any school to use to help teach children and young people aged 3-18 about their rights and global citizenship. There are options for both adults and children to interact with the site.
