Free booklets to help children understand their rights

The Commissioner's office currently has several copies of a free booklet exploring the rights of children and young people.

The booklet, which was developed with the Scottish Government, explains all the rights set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It also has contact details for organisations that can help those rights be realised.

The booklet:

• explains what rights are and why they matter,
• summarises the rights set out in the Convention, and
• provides contact details for a number of organisations in Scotland that can help children and young people realise their rights.
