Two toolkits have been created, one for children and young people aged 11-18 years old and one for adults working with them. Each toolkit includes printable activities and ideas to get children and young people writing to express their thoughts and feelings.
Children and young people can face pressures at home, in school and online, which can have a negative impact on their emotional wellbeing. This toolkit aims to get them writing because it can help them express how they are feeling and assist them to make sense of problems.
The version for 11 to 18-year-olds has 10 activities. Each one encourages a different style of writing. Access this toolkit here.
The tool kit for adults working with children and young people is divided into 10 sessions, each with an accompanying activity. The activities aim to help children and young people express their emotions, either alone or in a group. Access this toolkit here.
