New website for children on advocacy for children’s hearings

The website aims to help children find and access both support and representation from a children’s advocacy worker for children’s hearings.

The website has launched as part of provisions in the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 that will come into force on 21^st November 2020. These provisions place a duty on the Chair of the hearing to inform the child of advocacy services.
