It is essential that education professionals work effectively and meaningfully with parents to ensure that learning at school and home are connected. These modules have been co-developed with parents of children with a range of additional support needs to support education professionals to do this.

By completing these modules, educational professionals can better understand parents’ perspectives and be offered practical tips about how to work with families. This can ensure that the voices of families are heard, they feel supported and the best possible educational outcomes for children with additional support needs are delivered.

The modules also encourage self-evaluation and highlight other useful resources to for education professionals to use.
