Befriending Week, the national campaign to celebrate and raise awareness of befriending, kicks off from 1st to 7th November 2024. Established in 2012 by Befriending Networks, the week highlights the positive impact befriending has on individuals and communities, helping to tackle isolation and build lasting connections.

During the week, befriending organisations will reflect on their achievements, thank volunteers and staff, and celebrate service users. It's also an opportunity to raise awareness with stakeholders, government, and the public about the importance of befriending in creating supportive networks.
