The Scottish Gambling Education Hub is delighted to launch its new booklet for parents, carers:  A Parent’s Story: Chatting about reducing gaming and gambling harm.

This resource is designed to help parents and carers to realise when a supposedly harmless hobby turns into something dangerous and how to best support their child. Many video games have elements that strongly resemble gambling and are set up to keep people’s attention and create an addiction to them. This can seriously affect children and young people’s mental and physical health, schoolwork, as well as their relationships with friends and family.
