Celebrate International Day of Happiness with Children’s Commissioner

Children and Young People’s Commissioner Nicola Killean is inviting children and young people across Scotland to join an exciting virtual assembly to celebrate the UN International Day of Happiness. The session promises to be fun and engaging.

The event will feature:

• A focus on children's rights, particularly around mental health.
• A lively laughter yoga session.
• Opportunities for children to share ideas about what makes them happy.

This is the second assembly led by the Commissioner, following a successful event on World Children’s Day in November 2024, where 15,000 children participated. The upcoming session will include BSL interpretation, ensuring it is accessible to all. Children are encouraged to join in to learn, laugh, and share positive ideas about happiness and wellbeing.
