Europe for Citizens - New Call Launched

The Europe for Citizens Programme supports a wide range of activities which promote European citizenship, particularly the involvement of citizens and civil society organisations in the process of European integration.

The 2013 Call for Proposals has now been published for the programme actions: Active Citizens for Europe, Active civil society in Europe and Active European Remembrance.

Alongside the permanent priorities, the priorities for 2013 focus on contributing to the objectives set out for the European Year of Citizens. The programme will support the promotion of European citizenship and democracy by:

• Raising awareness about the values and rights of Union citizens and the opportunities provided by the EU.
• Enhancing citizen's participation in the democratic life of the EU.
