Early Learning and Childcare Expansion Consultation

Date: 4th October 2016
Category: Inclusive education

Aberdeen City Council is carrying out a statutory consultation exercise linked to the Scottish Government's programme for expansion of early learning and childcare.

The government's intention is to expand the offer of funded early learning and childcare to 1,140 hours per annum for some two year olds and all three and four year olds, whose parents want such a service by 2020.

It is therefore important that information is gathered from parents/carers and potential future parents regarding how best services could be provided.

Aberdeen City Council have undertaken a strategic review of existing services and options related to the delivery of expanded provision have been identified. The following survey is designed to inform the Council on how expanded services might best be delivered.

The survey is open for 6 weeks until Friday 28th October 2016.
