Consultation on Excellence and Equity for All: Guidance on the Presumption of Mainstreaming

Views are being sought on the presumption of mainstreaming which will ensure that local authorities have the guidance required to help their decision making in this area.

Deadline: February 9th 2018

The new guidance will look to encourage a child centred approach to making decision about placement and aims to bridge the gap between legislation, policy, and practice.

Together's State of Children's Rights report 2016 addresses additional support for learning, including the presumption of mainstreaming, with relation to the UN Committee's 2016 Concluding Observations.
