Early Learning and Childcare Service Model for 2020

Views are being sought on a new service model which will ensure that funded early learning and childcare entitlement is delivered in high quality settings.

Scottish Government, COSLA and local authorities have worked in partnership to develop details of the new model which has included engagement with providers and key stakeholders. The aim is to create a model which works for everyone in the sector and helps to improve the early learning and childcare experience for young children in Scotland.

The consultation paper sets out the 'Funding Follows the Child' approach and seeks views on the National Standard that underpins it.
