The Immigration policy paper sets out the UK Government’s intentions to build a ‘fair but firm’ asylum and illegal migration system, and to do this they are asking for your views on its proposals

The New Plan for Immigration aims to achieve the following three objectives:

• To increase the fairness and efficacy of the UK’s asylum system so the UK can better protect and support those in need of asylum
• To deter illegal entry into the UK
• To remove more individuals from the UK
