UNICEF and Save the Children have collaborated to develop a new series of Child Health Spotlights to support advocacy and communications on child and health survival by providing key data to show where urgent action is needed to help inform advocates’ engagements with decision makers.

These Spotlights provide easy-to-access datasets to inform policy and decision-making at a national and global level to tackle the leading threats to child survival - pneumonia and diarrhoea. So far, data is available for use for 15 pneumonia mortality high-burden countries. Advocates are encouraged to share and promote these profiles and use them to drive national and global focus on ending preventable child deaths.
