Check out the new joint report by JustFair and the Greater Manchester Poverty Action on the ‘socio-economic duty in action’, to learn about different approaches taken by England and Wales to tackle socio-economic inequality.
The two partners put together a diverse set of case studies on how voluntary adoption of the socio-economic duty by public authorities in England, and implementation of the duty in Wales, is being used to improve lives.
This report and case studies will be useful as comparative examples when designing action plans to combat inequality in Scotland and as Scotland moves to incorporate the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) through a new Human Rights Bill.
