The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) has opened a public consultation to gather feedback on its proposed Equality Outcomes for 2025-29. These outcomes outline SQA's commitments to promote equality over the next four years, aiming to ensure the plans meet the needs of diverse groups and can be effectively implemented.
The consultation invites input from individuals with protected characteristics, as well as representatives from schools, colleges, employers, training providers, and organisations advocating for equality.
SQA also seeks feedback from other stakeholders and partners to explore ways to align equality priorities. Participants will be asked if the proposed equality goals reflect the key issues they believe SQA should address and if the suggested methods for tracking progress are suitable. This feedback will help shape SQA’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy and ensure the proposed outcomes meet community needs.
