In honour of the 30 th anniversary of the UNCRC, UNICEF has distributed a resource guide to support UNICEF offices to plan, prepare and launch a national CRC30 strategies including national advocacy and summits for children and public engagement. The guidance also helps support anniversary activities by adopting the UNCRC message to a local context.

Children’s Parliament: ‘Wee Book of Promises’

Children’s Parliament has launched a ‘Wee Book of Promises.’ The new booklet communicates the UNCRC in accessible and child-friendly language in a graphic form to children and young people. The booklet will be used in all of Children’s Parliament’s work and Members of Children’s Parliament will receive a copy when they participate in their projects and consultations. The ‘Wee Book of Promises’ can be downloaded online here with printed copies available through direct contact with Children’s Parliament.

The Scottish Child Law Centre is one of only a few dedicated providers of guidance and information on matters of law concerning children and young people. A child or young person can call the advice line anytime, BUT on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-1 o’clock the solicitor’s are only taking calls from under 21s with questions about the law or their rights during this special hour. Under 21s can still call anytime be can call the advice line Monday – Friday from 9:30 -4:30.
