xHealth Conference 2026
Date: 19th March 2026
Time: 10am-4:15pm
Location: Stirling Court Hotel, University of Stirling
Join afka Scotland for their 2026 Conference all around the topic of Neurodiversity, Trauma and Mental Health of care experienced children and young people, and their carers.
Many children, young people and adults are now being diagnosed with neurodiverse conditions or identify traits within themselves. Children coming into care will have experienced early life adversity and trauma and some can present and be diagnosed with autism and/or adhd. When we consider what children and young people in care need from the adults who care for them this becomes a complex picture.
This conference will explore the needs of both children and young people and the adults who care for them. It will be of interest to Health Professionals working with children, young people and young adults in care, and compiling reports on children’s health and also for those who undertake adult health assessments for Prospective Adopters and Foster Carers. Social Workers will find the conference useful when considering the assessment, support and matching of prospective adoptive parents and Kinship or Foster Carers with children and young people.
