Date: 28th May 2010
Category:
Disability, Basic Health and Welfare
Over the coming months Action for Sick Children (Scotland) will be campaigning to promote the healthcare rights of children and young people.
The campaign will be based on the European Association for Children in Hospital (EACH) Charter. On 14th September in Glasgow they will hold a conference, "EACH Child and Young Person's Health Matters: Asking the Difficult Questions" which will look at the healthcare rights of the child.
Action for Sick Children (Scotland) has drawn a manifesto for the Scottish Government, MSPs and those responsible for the formulation of healthcare policy. This sets out in more detail the areas in the provision of child healthcare services where Action for Sick Children believes there is still room for improvement.
