The Children's Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 makes provision for the implementation of secure accommodation authorisations. The draft regulations set out the process for the chief social work officer when deciding whether to implement or not a secure accommodation authorisation or remove a child from secure accommodation.
The draft regulations also set out the process for the Head of Unit (of the secure accommodation establishment) when deciding whether to consent to the placement.
The draft regulations apply where a children's hearing or a sheriff makes a compulsory supervision order, an interim compulsory supervision order, medical examination order a warrant to secure attendance with a secure accommodation authorisation.
The deadline for all submissions is 23 February 2012.
