This new online self-access course covers the application of the law, human rights, medical ethics and rules of professional conduct of medical care for children.
The course aims to give you a good understanding of the legal systems of England, Wales and Scotland, how human rights applies to your practice and which rules of professional conduct are most crucial in the world of paediatric medicine. It will cover the theory underlining and the practical application of concepts such as 'best interests', 'consent' and the importance of good communication to good clinical care.
By encouraging you to use your learning to reflect on your own practice and that of your colleagues this course will help to ensure that your day-to-day practice is fully compliant with the law, is child-rights centred, ethical, and in-keeping with best professional practice.
