xEarly Years Collaborative: first learning event
Date: 18th February 2013
Category:
General measures of implementation
Presentations and video summaries are available for the first learning sessions of the Early Years Collaborative that took place on the 24th and 25th January 2013.
The objective of the Early Years Collaborative is to accelerate the conversion of the high level principles set out in GIRFEC and the Early Years Framework into practical action.
It is premised on the fact that we know there is strong evidence about costs and outcomes of current and desired practice, but much of this is not being used in daily work.
Where we have taken on board the evidence, practice does not always reliably recreate what the evidence tells us, and there is inconsistency and patchy implementation. In other words, there is a gap between what we know works and what we do.
