Date: 11th November 2013
Category: General measures of implementation

SCCYP is commissioning a new piece of research about domestic abuse, entitled Improving and developing practice - how the views of children and young people are taken when they are affected by domestic abuse and subject to court ordered contact arrangements.

The key objectives are:

  • to gain an insight from children and young people as to how their views are best taken into account in decisions that affect them in respect of contact in domestic abuse cases
  • to examine ways to improve existing methodologies or develop new methodologies in which children and young people can express their views more effectively.

The deadline for submissions is 16th January 2014. Any interested researchers should contact Sheila Hamilton, Research Manager, sheila.hamilton@sccyp.org.uk
