Social Justice Begins with Babies

The first annual report of Scotland's coalition Putting the Baby IN the Bath Water was published in December 2014 and highlights the work of the Coalition and recommendations for the coming year.

The Putting the Baby IN the Bath Water coalition was launched in autumn 2013 and fully endorses social justice by taking seriously in practice the rights of all children of all ages. The annual report states that "social justice is a prerequisite for Scotland becoming 'the best place to grow up'" and emphases on the coalition's key focus; primary prevention of harm.

The annual report includes that the crucial work underway at present for the coalition is to ensure that the good intentions of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 are translated into practice.
