Young Scot are looking for young people across Scotland who have experience of pregnancy and parenthood to take part in an exciting new digital project.

The organisation is looking for young people who can come along to sessions at either Young Scot HQ in Edinburgh or in their local area to help make content about their experiences of parenthood.

This group will be creating a new digital resource that focuses on what it is like to be a young person and a parent in Scotland today. The direction of the new resources, including the topics, themes and the look and feel, will be co-designed by the group. They will also be co-creating digital content including vlogs, blogs, videos and social media posts for the YoungScot website, partners and social media platforms. The content will cover a range of issues that face young parents in Scotland from what it's like being at a parent while at school and work, to what impact it has on their social life and friendships. Both mothers and fathers are invited to participate.

For those who are able to commit more time, Young Scot are also looking for 15 young parents to join their Young Parent Expert Group. The group will be involved in making decisions about the topics that are covered and helping to guide the project from start to finish. They will attend meetings at Young Scot in Edinburgh from April 2017 until March 2019.

Childcare and transport costs will be covered for those who take part. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet other young parents and learn new skills such as filming, blogging, and vlogging.
