Police Scotland want to canvas young people under the age of 18 years to identify what impact the implementation of the Code of Practice for Stop and Search has had on them.

Police Scotland would like to speak to young people, in particular those who have been stopped and searched, or who have engaged with police officers since the Code of Practice was introduced on 11 May 2017, to take account of their personal experiences first-hand.

The Independent Advisory Group on Stop and Search will be conducting 6-month and 12-month reviews of the Code of Practice. Police Scotland, along with other organisations will be contributing to the review.

If you know of any young people who would like to contribute please contact PC Alex Lavery, Stop Search Improvement Delivery Team on tel: 01786 896775 or by e-mail StopandSearch@scotland.pnn.police.uk.
