Consultation for Scottish Youth Parliament’s 64th National Sitting

The Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) are seeking the views of young people on specific political topics that Members of Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs) will then share during workshops at their 64th National Sitting.

MSYPs would like to hear young people's views on the following topics:

• Consent and Healthy Relationships
• Immigration - Policy Options for Scotland
• Information sharing
• Organ donation
• Period Poverty
• Scotland 2030
• Digital Living
• Scotland's Economic Performance
• The Scottish Parliament as a Human Rights Guarantor?
• Young People and Island Life

MSYPs will then use these consultation responses to discuss these issues in consultation workshops at their National Sitting on the 27th and 28th October. They will use their unique democratic mandate to represent young people's views and then relay these back to policymakers and politicians in the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government in order to directly influence policy and forthcoming legislation.
