Scottish Government has published this consultation in order to seek views on the establishment of a Commissioner to provide independent oversight of biometric data and a proposed Statutory Code of Practice covering biometric data and technologies.
The consultation includes questions on the Commissioner's approach to children and the acquisition, retention, use and disposal of biometric data relating to children under the age of 18 in the criminal justice system.
