Who Cares? Scotland is inviting individuals and organisations to celebrate and participate in their new Care Experienced Week from the 22nd to 28th October.

Who Cares? Scotland has chosen to celebrate National Care Leavers’ Week under a new name because their members have explained that they do not leave their Care Experience behind them when leaving formal care. Who Cares? Scotland wants to celebrate this and encourages others to join them in a variety of events:  

Friday 26th October: Lifetime of Love Rally, Glasgow
March through Glasgow and demonstrate your commitment to a lifetime of equality, respect and love for all Care Experienced people. The route will pass through the centre of the city and gather at an iconic location where there will be inspirational words, songs and speeches. All Care Experienced people and allies of the movement are welcome. Please register your interest to attend for the rally here.

Saturday 27th October: Global Care Family Gathering, Irvine
This conference is the first of its kind and will be curated and delivered entirely by Care Experienced people. A series of inspirational speakers from across the globe will share insights on their experiences of care.  The event is free of charge to Care Experienced people but as this event is expected to be fully subscribed, any Care Experienced person who would like to attend needs to fill in this form. A limited number of tickets available for non-Care Experienced people who want to join this historic occasion, which can be purchased here.

Sunday 28th October: Time to Shine Festival, Glasgow
The theme for Who Cares? Scotland’s annual party for Care Experienced people and their supporters is Music Festival.  There will be live bands, a DJ, music workshops, festival make up, arts and crafts, inflatables, food and more. Register here for this free event before Sunday 14th October.
