The University of Edinburgh has launched a new Pathway Degree, the MSc Education (Early Childhood Practice and Froebel). The pathway is aimed at those who have an interest in early childhood education and would like to gain an advanced, critical understanding of Froebelian principles and other contemporary early years pedagogies.

It is particularly relevant to students who want to make a positive contribution to practice, policy and research on children’s learning, development and rights, play, outdoor learning, equitable practices, participation and integrated working.

This programme can be taken over 1, 2 or 3 years. Applications are now open for September 2019 entry.
