The latest report of the Special Rapporteur, Michel Forst, reports on the situation of human rights defenders in which he reviews the situation of women human rights defenders making comparisons to children’s rights defenders.

The latest report of the Special Rapporteur, Michel Forst, reports on the situation of human rights defenders in which he reviews the situation of women human rights defenders making comparisons to children’s rights defenders. We are very pleased to note that the Special Rapporteur refers to the Day of General Discussion in his report (para. 18) as well as dedicating two paragraphs of the report to girl human rights defenders (para. 59-60). In this section, he highlights the specific barriers and challenges that girls face in their role of human rights defenders. The full report is available in all UN languages here.
