The Vote for Children campaign is calling for candidates in the European Parliament elections to pledge to be Child Rights Champions.

The campaign coalition of children’s organisations across Europe is calling for children’s rights to be at the forefront of the May 2019 elections. Organisations that are part of the coalition include Eurochild, Save the Children and UNICEF.

The Vote for Children coalition calls on European Parliamentary candidates to become Child Rights Champions to:

  • Break the cycles of poverty, inequality and conflict for future generations
  • Invest in children inside and outside Europe
  • Listen to children’s voices, involve them in decisions affecting them and act on children’s views
