The report gives an update on progress of the Scottish Government’s programme of education reform.
The report covers progress across topics such as learner participation, parental engagement and enhancing the education workforce.
In the section on learner participation, the report notes an increased focus on supporting and encouraging children to participate in decisions about their learning and the life of their school through Education Scotland’s 2018 guidance to schools and the Scottish Learner Panel. The report anticipates the publication of the Learner Empowerment section of the School Empowerment guidance later in 2019.
