xReport on experience of children and young people in care in England

The Children’s Commissioner for England has published a report measuring the stability of the lives of children and young people in care in England over 2017-18.
The report looks at the number of times children in care move placement, school or social worker.
Findings include:
- 4% of children in care on 31 March 2018 experienced two or more placement changes in 2017-18
- 11% of children in case experienced a mid-year school move in 2017-18
- 27% of children experienced multiple social worker changes in 2017-18
- An increase in the number of older children going in to care
