Identifying good practices to support environmental rights defenders will be used to inform a report and an online free tool. This tool will support good practice being replicated in other contexts and support children’s right to a healthy environment being fully realised.

Environmental rights defenders can be children, young people, adults, groups and organisations who strive to protect and promote human rights relating to the environment. Defenders are encouraged to share good practices they have identified, such as policies or laws that create a safe and enabling environment for them.

The tool and report will launch globally in October 2021.
