We’re delighted to announce a new project with six of our members to ensure children’s voices inform implementation of the UNCRC Bill.

With funding from Scottish Government, Together will be working with partners from Aberlour, Children in Scotland, Scottish Commission for Learning Disability (SCLD), Who Cares? Scotland, Carers Trust Scotland and the Scottish Youth Parliament to ensure children and young people shape implementation of the UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill.

Over the next six months, we’ll be supporting children to engage with and influence the work of the UNCRC Strategic Implementation Board. They will have a central role in shaping the project and how they wish to work with the Board. The children and young people involved will have previously played an active role in shaping the UNCRC Bill and are now keen to see their earlier recommendations translated into practice.

The project will run for an initial six months and go to tender thereafter.
