Date: 28th April 2022
Category:
Education, including vocational education

Last year, children and young people shared their thoughts on what changes should be made to the education system. After listening to children and young people’s views, Professor Muir wrote a report on education reform to Scottish Government. A child-friendly version of the report is now available.
The report includes:
- An introduction to Professor Muir and his role.
- A section on what the Curriculum for Excellence does and what needs to change.
- Information on what learners should know about with regards to Professor Muir’s work.
- A section on what the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child say about children and young people’s education.
Scottish Government has written a reply to Professor Muir’s report which sets out what they are going to do next. You can read Scottish Government’s reply here.
