Scottish Government announces increase to Scottish Child Payment

Scottish Government has said the payment will double from £10 to £20 a week by April 2022. It will then rise to £25 per week by the end of the year. This benefit will be extended to under-16s by the end of 2022.

In late 2021, Together joined calls to double Scottish Child Payment and so we are delighted to see Scottish Government taking this significant step towards ending child poverty.
