Gregor, a participant in our Rights Right Now! project, has been featured in the recent edition of Enable magazine! He talks about his involvement in the project, which aimed to support meaningful and inclusive participation of children and young people as Scotland moves to incorporate the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
Gregor, who has Down's Syndrome, reflects on his experience meeting and collaborating with other young people as well as having his voice heard by representatives of the Scottish government. A huge thank you to Gregor from Together for taking part in the Rights Right Now!
The Rights Right Now! project aimed to promote children’s participation and inclusion in the implementation of the UNCRC. Children and young people with a broad range of experiences and backgrounds developed recommendations for the Scottish Government which will also influence the setting up of a Children and Young People’s Consortium.
- Read the recommendations in the adult version report and the child-friendly report.
