It’s official, Scotland has hit the two-year anniversary of the UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill being unanimously passed. Watch what children, young people and Together members have to say.

Since the Bill passed in March 2021, progress slowed down in light of the Supreme Court’s judgment which ruled the Bill was outside the legislative competence of the Scottish Parliament. On the two-year anniversary, the Minister for Children and Young People, Clare Haughey, published a letter for children to update them on what is happening. The letter recognises the powerful work of #TeamScotlandUN but stops short of giving a clear timeline for bringing the Bill back to the Scottish Parliament.

Alongside children, young people and many of our members, we continue to push for children’s rights to beincorporated into Scots law at the earliest opportunity.
