Scotland welcomes new Children’s Commissioner

Nicola Killean has started her new role as the Children and Young People’s Commissioner for Scotland. Her first message is addressed to children and young people where she introduces herself and asks for their help to develop a new Strategic Plan to guide our work for 2024-2028.

Nicola was the CEO of Sistema Scotland and led the design and implementation of the original Big Noise programme model. Sistema now has a network of four Big Noise programmes delivered by over 130 staff and 80 volunteers supporting over 2,800 children weekly in some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged communities.
