No Recruiting: Are you an organisation that supports children and young people have their human rights experiences heard? You can help inform our State of Children’s Rights Report 2024!

Together is looking to recruit five organisations to join the development phase for our 2024 State of Children’s Rights Report. We’re looking for organisations who can support children and young people to test some draft engagement materials, provide us feedback and support us to create versions in alternative formats.

The State of Children’s Rights Report is an annual report to monitor Scotland’s progress in implementing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and other international human rights treaties.

Our 2024 report will tell the story of children’s rights implementation through children and young people’s own words, artwork and other creative means of expression.

We are looking to recruit five organisations who will help us to:

  • test an initial draft of a children and young people’s pack;
  • test an initial draft of a facilitator pack;
  • provide feedback on the above drafts and suggestions for improvement;
  • support the development of additional resources as required (this could be, for example, a version of the above resources in alternative formats or tailored towards a specific group of children and young people)

If your application is successful, you will be expected to plan and deliver a ‘story-gathering session’ (or sessions) with a small group of children and young people. We will provide draft resources and activities and are looking for feedback on these. We have secured a small amount of funding to support Partners’ involvement in the project.

Together is welcoming applications from all organisations with a passion for furthering children’s rights in Scotland. We welcome applications from Together members and non-members. Organisations that are not members of Together will be encouraged to join if their application is successful.

The development phase will run from February-March 2024.

The recruitment materials consists of two documents: the application criteria which has all the vital information for organisations who are interested in taking part and the application form which includes the necessary questions and information to apply.

The deadline for applications is 12:00 noon on Friday 2nd February 2024. Please send your completed application to judi@togetherscotland.org.uk

If you have any questions about the application process, please contact Judi Martin, Policy Assistant, judi@togetherscotland.org.uk
