A new Children’s rights legislative reform platform has been developed by Leiden University in partnership with UNICEF and in collaboration with University College Cork to provide guidance to countries that have signed and committed to upholding the rights and standards set out in the UNCRC.
The aim of this platform is to provide guidance to countries that are undertaking legislative reform to respect, protect and fulfil obligations enshrined in the UNCRC, through their legislation.
The platform primarily focuses on the UNCRC but recognises the important role that other international and regional human rights instruments play in the respect, protection and fulfilment of children’s rights (in line with art. 41 of the UNCRC).
