The new Rights Detectives pilot project by Together provides an opportunity for babies, young children, and their families to explore children’s rights in a fun and informative way. Partnering with Craigmillar Literacy Trust, Home Start UK, Play Scotland, and Starcatchers, the project has already hosted sessions featuring sensory play, music, movement, a children's rights photography exhibition, messy play, and engaging discussions to encourage family participation.

The aim is to develop a child-friendly feedback process for the children and families involved, investigations are still ongoing with findings being used to create a toolkit that will assist Together’s broader membership in forming their own feedback systems.

Together submitted its response on proposals for a General Comment on children's rights to access justice and effective remedies (GC27), using evidence gathered from Rights Detectives aged 11-17 and its members. The new Rights Detective  pilot project will further contribute to the development of GC27, with investigations continuing throughout October.  A huge thank you to Cattanach for fully funding this project and this section.
